DJI Matrice 4 Thermal Dock is the rugged, fixed-arm sibling of the M4T, sharing the same multi-sensor payload but adding an IP55 weather rating and a 54-minute flight time. Its gimbal tilts up to 80 degrees for inspecting bridge undersides and overhead structures

  • The Matrice 4 Thermal Dock M4TD standalone version combo is a compact rain resistant drone with thermal camera, Near Infra Red auxiliary light, tele and medium telephoto cameras, wide-angle camera and laser rangefinder, plus night vision and AI capabilities.

  • The standalone version has its own hard case with back pack and comes with its own RC Plus 2 controller and a single M4D series flight battery.

  • The M4TD is IP55 rated for dust and water ingress resistance.

  • C2 marked - ready for flight in the Open A2 'Near people' category with an A2 CofC qualification.

  • Remember to choose your payloads;  the Matrice 4 Obstacle sensing module, the AL1 Spotlight / AS1 Speaker which can be used separately or together, and DJI's edge processor, the Manifold 3.

  • And don't forget those extras to get the most from your M4TD such as additional flight batteries, the WB37 external battery for the RC Plus 2, RC Plus 2 strap and waist kit, the D-RTK 3 for high-precision positioning and relay

The M4TD is the dock version - so why would I buy it as a standalone?

The M4TD's fixed-arm airframe gives you an IP55 rating and a wider operating temperature range (-20°C to 50°C), so it flies reliably in heavy rain, fog and dust where the foldable M4T must stand down. Bought standalone with the RC Plus 2 Enterprise, it's effectively an all-weather M4T with the option to add Dock 3 later.

What's special about the M4TD's gimbal compared to the M4T's?

The M4TD's gimbal tilts up to 80 degrees upwards, making it ideal for inspecting bridge undersides, overhangs and overhead utility infrastructure without having to reposition the aircraft. The standard M4T can't do this.

How long does the M4TD stay in the air vs the M4T?

54 minutes max forward flight (47 hovering) on the M4TD, compared with 49 minutes on the M4T. The heavier rugged airframe accommodates a higher-capacity battery, which also fast-charges from 15% to 90% in under 30 minutes.
