ESG
environmental sustainability
Aviation Systems Group is committed to making a positive impact on the environment. We are actively seeking to reduce our carbon emissions and leave a smaller footprint on the world.
ESG
we care
As a fast-growing managed services provider for both professional services and for unmanned aviation, Aviation Systems Group (ASG) is committed to the protection of the environment, prevention of pollutions and taking climate action for our planet.
In early 2023, we embarked on the formal journey towards ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System certification, firmly committing ourselves towards conducting our business in an environmentally responsible manner. ASG’s dedication to environmental sustainability extends beyond our business, being at the local and national level.
ESG
reducing our carbon footprint
Working with Seedling Earth ASG has produced a Carbon Reduction Plan detailing our current carbon emissions and how we plan to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050. We have set this target in accordance with the SBTi's Corporate Net Zero.
ASG Carbon Reduction Plan - PPN 06/21 Compliant
In addition, ASG is a proud member of the SME Climate Hub, a platform and rich resource for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.
As of August 2023 we have taken a significant step by pledging our support for Make it Wild, a well renowned tree planting scheme in the picturesque North Yorkshire countryside, recognised for its outstanding contributions to sustainability. Tree planting is but one facet of our long-term climate solution strategy, and we’ve made a start in our journey by annually voluntarily offsetting 22 tonnes of CO2e while actively making space for nature and supporting biodiversity. This dedication offsets the amount of carbon ASG produces through its operations, making us officially carbon neutral.
ESG
protecting our future
ASG goes beyond lip service when it comes to environmental responsibility. We work hard with suppliers to ensure a sustainability-centric approach. Our overarching mission is to enhance our business presence by promoting positive change through meticulous supplier selection and strict standards. This ethos creates a business culture in which environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) stakeholders are not just involved but actively engaged and empowered in improving their personal and collective environmental sustainability practices.
Furthermore, ASG is committed to fostering environmentally-friendly behaviours among our employees. We do this internally through annual Environmental Awareness Training, a cycle to work scheme, and the establishment of an internal Environmental Sustainability Working Group (ESWG) to drive environmental initiatives and sustainability awareness throughout our organisation. At ASG, we believe that by taking action today, we can create a more sustainable and resilient future for our environment.
