DJI Mavic 3 Thermal Advanced is a triple-camera drone, with visual, zoom, and thermal capabilities. It is an upgraded version of the original DJI Mavic 3 Thermal, with an improved thermal camera for enhanced infrared imaging.
The EU-C1 version is under 900g and is EASA C1 class-marked, offering UK drone pilots access to the newly expanded Open A1 'over people' category from the start of 2026.
The M3TA's improved thermal camera offers more accurate temperature measurements, a clearer view at the same distance (improved pixel pitch) , and greater range with the same clarity (improved field of view). It's now pretty much the same sensor specification as the M4T.
Don't forget to add extras, such as additional C1 (4270mAH) flight batteries; Cellular dongle, RTK Module, the D-RTK 2 for high-precision positioning and relay.

Has the Mavic 3 Thermal Advanced got an C1 class marking?
Yes, the Mavic 3 Thermal Advanced EU-C1 is EASA C1 Class marked - but you must use the C1 version of the Mavic 3 Intelligent Flight Battery and Low noise propellers.
How many versions of the DJI Mavic 3 Thermal Advanced are there?
There were two, Universal and EU-C1, however, the Universal has been discontinued and stock of the EU-C1 is very low. The EU-C1 has a slightly smaller/lighter battery (4270mAH vs 5000mAh) and low noise propellers; it is C1 class-marked. The max flight time is reduced from 45 mins to 36 mins.
The thermal pitch of the M3TA is smaller compared with the M3T. How does this make it better?
The thermal pitch on the Mavic 3 Thermal Advanced is smaller, so more pixels are packed in closely together, it also has a smaller Field of View, which means it can see a better picture at a longer range. In effect, it's better sensor is zoomed in and therefore clearer than the M3T at the same range and can see the same as the M3T at a longer range.
