DJI Dock 3 with Matrice 4 is a 24/7 autonomous drone-in-a-box system optimised for remote mapping, surveying and visual inspection. The IP56-rated dock pairs with the M4D's 4/3 CMOS wide-angle and zoom cameras to deliver scheduled or on-demand missions for construction monitoring, structural inspection and Intelligent Change Detection workflows via FlightHub 2 - all without a pilot on site.

Paired with the perfectly integrated DJI Matrice 4 Dock M4D, it is it is ideal for automated mapping.

The M4D has a mechanical shutter wide-angle camera specialised for mapping, tele and medium telephoto cameras, and laser rangefinder, plus night vision and AI capabilities.

The Dock 3 is IP56 and the M4D IP55 rated for dust and water ingress resistance.

A new Dock 3 / M4D feature that periodically re-flies the same route and analyses changes in the area between flights. It's valuable for construction progress monitoring, environmental compliance, structural condition tracking and disaster damage assessment - all without a pilot reviewing footage manually.
How does the M4D's obstacle avoidance handle thin objects like power lines?
The Dock 3 / M4D combo can be specced with the Obstacle Sensing Module, which uses rotating LiDAR + millimetre-wave radar to detect 12mm wires at flight speeds up to 15 m/s - even in pitch-dark or visually complex environments like substations.
Why pick the M4D Dock combo over the M4TD version?
Choose the M4D Combo if your remote operations are focused on mapping, surveying, construction monitoring and high-detail visual inspection. The M4D's 4/3 CMOS 20MP wide-angle with mechanical shutter outperforms the M4TD's smaller wide camera for photogrammetry. Pick the M4TD only if thermal imaging is part of the mission profile.
